About us

Aims

  • To promote interest in bushwalking, camping, birdwatching, canoeing, photography, local history and related outdoor activities.

Membership

  • The Club was founded in Inverell, New South Wales, in 1992 and currently has a membership of around 40. We draw our membership not only from Inverell and district, but from as far afield as Glen Innes, Armidale, Ashford, Warialda and Moree.

Meetings

  • Club meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every second month in January, March, May, July, September and November.
  • Meetings are held at 7.30 pm in the Common Room at Inverell High School. These are fairly informal affairs and provide members and visitors a chance to discuss future walks reminisce on past ones. Often a guest speaker is present.
  • Visitors are always welcome.

Newsletter

  • The Club produces a small but informative and interesting newsletter five times a year. Contact us and ask for a free copy.

Incorporation

  • The Inverell Bushwalking Club is an incorporated body with Public Liability cover to ten million dollars.
